Many of us have been there - we’ve part of a religion that uses guilt to control. If we don’t conform to what we are persuaded to believe, we are told our very soul is at risk, that God won’t accept us and terrible things will happen. In a religion based on guilt, we also live in shame and fear. Guilt for falling in love with someone outside of our religion. Shame that our mind wants to question what we are taught. Fear of failure, fear of doing something -anything- wrong, never believing we are good enough to please this dictator idea of God. Yet, we want to believe. We were created to believe. But that ache in your heart? You were not created to believe this! You have been the victim of a smear campaign - and the main target is God himself.
Often when we are hurt, our first reaction is to immediately push away whatever hurt us - and fast. But instead of “throwing the baby out with the bath water,” why connect the pain you have from those who say they represent God, as being the voice of God himself? It’s like being told what a juicy raspberry tastes like, but never tasting it on your own! God existed before religion. The disinformation and propaganda about the real nature of God creates a manufactured, silencing conformity in families and faiths throughout the world. This division, manipulation and confusion is NOT from him. Hate, bloodshed and lording one faith over another is NOT how the creator of all people operates. So what is the true heart and mind of God? Is he the judgmental, burn-them-if-they-disobey, tough school principal always ready to punish you? We were created in his image, in your true self, are you like that? I doubt it!
Letting the Accused Speak
I’m going to pick a few places out of some letters he had written down so his kids could learn more about him, and let him speak for himself. People have messed up about which passages in the Bible are literal or symbolic since they were written. Of course, the closer the translation to the original Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic, the closer the meaning to the real thought behind it - but these scriptures are pretty direct.
(1). NO HELLFIRE: God would never, ever, think of burning anyone in a fiery hell. "The people of Judah have done evil in my eyes, declares the Lord…They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire—something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind." (Jeremiah 7:30-31)
(2). IT’S NOT ABOUT EARNING IT, HIS LOVE IS A FREE GIFT: It’s not about how good you are, it’s about how good He is. “For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment (or works) but God’s gift.” (Ephesians 2:8, CJB) “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17)
(3). GOD WANTS ALL OF HIS KIDS ON HIS LAP: God is not separate from any of us, the door of salvation has been opened to all. “Beloved friends, let us love one another; because love is from God; and everyone who loves has God as his Father and knows God.” (1 John 4:7 CJB)
God Still Communicates with People
Now I am going to share with you some personal information about God. I have had the chance to be in front of God many times now, between my NDEs and receiving the Holy Stigmata. And even though many Stigmatics have been Catholic (I was not), many others in the past and presently are not either, because God isn’t interested in religion. One of the first questions I asked God was “what religion is the right religion.” His answer: “All those who love me.” When I asked “Are the Holy Scriptures complete?” The answer was: “All the Holy Books are incomplete, so that man may reach out to me, and I will greet him, and he will know me by name.” So we are ALL his kids. It just stands to reason then, that one religion would not have “dibs” on owning God.
With those answers, God shows that he wants each of us to know that he exists, he cares about them, and to go beyond what is written and beyond repeating theology. Also, when I say “He,” that is not a sexual reference, but I am simply acknowledging God’s qualities that are often considered masculine, such as protection, guidance, wisdom and strength. But God also has qualities considered feminine, such as nurturing, healing, creativity and sensitivity. God is beyond any one word or terminology, although perhaps the closest in my experience would be the embodiment and action of Divine Love.
No "Dibs" on Owning God
But what about Jesus Christ? His existence is also beyond any one religion. The life of Jesus has affected every person on earth. He existed before earth, and even helped create it. As the first-born of all of God’s creation, Jesus is God’s first-born son. It is he that is being referenced to by God in this scripture “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness….” (Genesis 1:26) “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible…”(Colossians 1:15-19). Why then, if Christ is beyond religion, do the scriptures quote him this way? “Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
Because whether people recognize it or not, Jesus opened the door back to God, no matter what path of their spiritual journey they are on. Light and dark, perfection and imperfection can’t be in the same place together, it’s just not possible. Darkness either has to transform into light or move away to exist. Because of the poor choices of our original parents, all of us had an ancestral deformity passed down to us. Think of it this way: if a cake pan gets dropped on the floor and dented, any cake that comes out of it will carry the same dent. Adam and Eve chose to unplug from God, and we could only inherit what they gave us - rebelliousness, imperfection, death.
Now humanity could not come before our Heavenly Father’s perfection. And since we could never “pop the dent out” ourselves, we needed someone to do it for us who was not from the human race. We needed a savior. The one that delighted in mankind from the beginning volunteered. “The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be…Then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.” (Proverbs 8:22-31)
Jesus Beyond Religion
His perfect spirit was transferred into a human body. He could have lived forever and started a whole new race of mankind without imperfection. But that wasn’t his Father’s will, so it was not his son’s will either. That would not have given the people already born the future they were created for. So with God as his spiritual Father, a perfect man without any sin was put to death for sinning. It balanced the books of perfect law, which is quite simply “an eye for an eye.” “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) “This is what happened: Sin came into the world by one man, Adam. Sin brought death with it. Death spread to all men because all have sinned.” (Romans 5:12 NLV)
This is why the door is open to all, beyond religion. God wants all of his kids up on his lap. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28) This is why Christ is beyond Christianity, and why God also told me during stigmata that “many of my children will be given the stigmata of my son, in all religions.”
The Smear Campaign
So now you know more truth about God and why he and Jesus are bigger than religion can hold. We also touched on a few real personality traits of God. But how did this disinformation start? What and who is behind it? And why a smear campaign? Let me give you a hint - it’s all based in politics. God foretold he would be changing things and taking the power away from those who have it now. How does that go down and who is involved? What happens then? This and more qualities of God will be covered in “Burnt by Religion? The Smear Campaign Part 2.” And believe me, God wants you to know what is coming, because he wants to protect and guide you and your loved ones safely through it.
